What is a clean point/Ecopark?

They are publicly owned installations with free and open access for all the public, where urban waste that must not be deposited in standard street containers is collected, selected and recovered. They are particularly aimed at those residues whose components, after a treatment process, can be reused as raw material in the process of manufacturing new products.

  • Collection, near the citizen, at no cost, in order for you to deposit your household waste and that has no daily collection service.
  • Selection, because there are a number of different containers where you can deposit different residues separately, such as: paper-cardboard, glass, plastics, scrap metal, batteries, debris, used furniture, used medicines, oils, textiles, electrical appliances, etc., which aids in the subsequent selection and recycling processes.
  • Recovery, because the recovered by-products will return to their productive cycle, saving a large amount of raw material; only that which is not recoverable will be taken to the controlled landfill.

Accepted waste

All household waste that cannot be deposited in specific street containers, due to their toxicity or because they are not organic residues. Examples (electrical appliances, trimmings, debris, used oils).

Unaccepted waste

  • Organic urban waste
  • Radioactive material
  • Flammable or explosive material
  • Infectious waste
  • Tires
  • Bulky recipients that have contained toxic or hazardous materials.
  • Unseparated waste.
  • Unidentied waste.
